key marketing lesson… but NOT ❌ for sensitive minds...
Every entrepreneur should learn THIS…
But a warning… This is NOT for sensitive minds! ❌
There was NO intention to offend anybody.
But it had to be said by ONE, and heard by MANY.
Back in 2018, around the end of it…
I was invited to attend the Funnel Hacking Live marketing and business event in the US in February 2019.
No matter how much I wanted to go, everything in my personal life seemed to be against it. 😖
But that’s another story for another time.
So, I had already given up on the idea of going to Nashville for that event.
Just by sheer luck, my personal life shifted to the better at the last minute.
And probably I picked up one of the last tickets 🎫 before they completely sold out.
And in February 2019, I was on a 14-hour long journey from the UK to the US. 🛫
Simply put… The live event was amazing. 🤩
It was well-worth the long travel and the thousands of dollars I invested into going to that marketing event.
Alongside many great lessons, ONE was a lesson that EVERY entrepreneur should learn.
It’s a golden nugget that Garrett J. White said on stage…
“You’re going to suck, you’re going to suck real bad at first.
What you’re going to find over time though is that eventually you’re going to suck less.
And, eventually, you might even get to the point where you’re actually good.”
OK, it wasn’t phrased for the sensitive minds…
(…or maybe he just mispronounced Duck 🦆 a few times?! 🤪)
…BUT it was a lesson we all had to hear. Either for the first time, or as a reminder.
We all go through that experience many times in our life.
Even with things that most people see as completely natural today.
Just think about WALKING for a moment.
When we 👶 started “doing” it we were bad at it.
We crawled, we stumbled, we fell, we cried. 😢
BUT because we kept practicing it over and over again, we got better and better at it. 🙂
AND because we did that for a LONG ENOUGH time, eventually we got GREAT at it. 😄
Most of us walk everyday without even thinking about it, completely naturally.
THAT life lesson is KEY in marketing and business as well.
When you feel you’re BAD at something… (and you are going to, from time to time, for the rest of your life…)
…like bad at getting leads, or making sales, or writing follow-up emails, or building sales funnels, or any parts of marketing…
That’s normal and OK. Just be willing to get started NOW, keep practicing for long enough…
…and you’ll become good, and eventually, you’re going to be GREAT at it.
While it is a great principle to live by, there’s a way to SPEED UP 🚀 the process in marketing and business…
…by finding a SYSTEM that serves as a “bridge” between where you’re now, and where you want to be.
A SYSTEM that makes it possible for you to walk over the hassles and headaches, and get results a lot quicker and easier.
