Do you feel like you work a lot but you’re still not making the progress you want to?

Are you ready to dive into the tips?
Okay. Tip #1: Automate. Marketing automations can take a HUGE load of repetitive tasks off your shoulders and help you to stay consistent carrying out those activities.
Besides that automations are not limited to work hours, they can work for you 24/7/365 days. And most of the time, they are more reliable and faster than humans.
Look around in your business for patterns, for repetitive tasks. Then, do a research if there’s a marketing tool that can automate that process for you.
As most entrepreneurs are going through similar challenges, a lot of the time you’ll find a relevant, existing marketing automation software.
Here’s a few ideas for inspiration on what you can automate: lead generation, social media posting, parts of traffic generation…
…generating marketing reports, delegating repetitive tasks, and a lot more other things.
Tip #2: Delegate. When you look around in your business, you’ll find some repetitive tasks that are not possible to automate or simply it would cost more to set up the automation than doing it manually.
And that’s when delegation comes into the picture. Create processes, video and written guides related to those tasks and delegate it to your relevant team members.
If you don’t have a team yet, or don’t have the relevant team members yet, hiring freelancers is a great option.
It gives you the flexibility to scale up and down your team based on your current business needs. Plus, it gives you the cost efficiency to pay for the time they work.
You can hire somebody for an hour a week if that’s all you need. If you don’t have any team members yet…
…start with hiring a virtual assistant and delegating him/her small but time-consuming repetitive tasks.
To increase your productivity even more, use Trello or a similar tool to manage your team and keep track of the activities efficiently.
Tip #3: Plan And Schedule. Without these, it’s really easy to slip away and waste a lot of time and be unproductive. Planning gives a direction where you’re heading.
What to focus your attention to, to be productive. Create marketing plans for the day, for the week, month, quarter, 6 months, and 12 months.
Make sure you pay attention to this! Do not overplan! Planning too much will ruin your productivity.
So plan less and take a LOT MORE action. And always set due dates for the tasks. It helps you to stay on track with your plans.
Tip #4: Eat The Frog! Mark Twain said, “If it’s your job to eat a frog, it’s best to do it first thing in the morning. And if it’s your job to eat two frogs, it’s best to eat the biggest one first.”
This strategy is really great for avoiding procrastination that can really kill your productivity. So what does the quote mean translated into the area of marketing?
Humans tend to avoid the activities we don’t feel comfortable with, and those activities usually are the most important and biggest ones, the ones that result in the biggest productivity.
And the “frog” means those activities. So prioritise your tasks, and “eat” the one on the top of your list FIRST in the mornings even if you don’t feel like doing it. You will see, it will pay off in productivity.
Tip #5: Kill Outside Distractions. Everything that happens around you can be a distraction that takes your attention away from what you’re doing. And with that, your productivity goes as well.
And in today’s world, that happens super easily. Here are the most common distractions and what to do with them.
First, emails. If you’re like most entrepreneurs, you get over 100 emails every day. Which means you get a lot of email notifications a day.
Even if you don’t read the emails right away, the notifications distract you. And you need to refocus every time.
And if you stop doing what you’re doing and check your emails every time when you get one, it absolutely damages your productivity.
Set yourself dedicated time, 15-30 minutes, once or twice a day, and deal with your emails in that dedicated time. And for the rest of the day turn OFF your email client.
Second distraction, mobile notifications, either you have your mobile on the desk or in your pocket, every time when you get a notification…
…and your phone is buzzing, or beeping it breaks your attention. And when that happens 10, 20, 50 times a day, your productivity suffers from it a lot.
And on top of that, if you pick up your phone and tap onto the notifications, and you get lost watching funny videos then your productivity is absolutely gone.
Turn off the notifications so they are not beeping and buzzing and have dedicated times to check your phone and only do it then.
The third distraction, phone calls. Just like emails and mobile notifications, phone calls are a huge distraction especially when you pick it up and end up having a long conversation.
Make your clients used to it to arrange calls with you upfront so you can allocate your time and focus to that. It will pay off in productivity.
If your business requires regular email and phone communication with clients like support, consider hiring someone who’s doing that for you so you can stay productive.
I’m conscious about the time, and always aiming to keep an episode around 10 minutes long so you can go, take action and implement what you learn.
