…and how that helps me to get more leads for my business. My name is Istvan Bujdoso and this is The 47 Marketing Show…
It all started many years ago, it was a beautiful Sunday morning, I woke up, I got ready quickly and I headed to a business mentoring event that was happening on that day…
I had no idea that I was going to be challenged to play a weird game every single day…
As I arrived at the hotel where the event was happening, I rushed to the noisy hotel lobby and I went straight into a room where the event is happening…
About 80 people, 80 entrepreneurs were already there. I went around the room, I said hello, I gave some hugs to my friends and just a few minutes later, the event started…
My former business mentor went up the stage and he started talking about business, sharing business ideas, business tips, business strategies and I was listening to it…
In the middle of one of the business tips, he stopped and changed topic. He started talking about this weird game and challenged us to play it every day…
In one sentence, it’s “If you don’t feel like doing something, you MUST do it!”
At first, when I heard it, like, “What? This is stupid. How is this going to help me to get more leads, to get more clients and grow my business?”
But after some hesitation, I decided to take the challenge and it’s actually incredible because it got me out of my comfort zone…
It stopped me from overthinking things and get started with things easier, quicker and take a lot more action and it boosted my lead generation as well incredibly…
Can I share with you three little stories how it helped me — how this weird game helped me get more leads?
One of them was, once I was invited — this was a couple of years ago. I was invited to a business event to talk about marketing and I was really excited about the opportunity…
But a couple of days before the event, I got the flu and my nose was running, my throat was hurting, I had a fever. I felt like staying in bed and resting the whole day…
I didn’t feel like traveling for four hours there and do the speech and four hours back. It was just too much in my mind. I didn’t feel like doing it at all…
And, I remembered that weird game that “If you don’t feel like doing something, you must do it.” And, I’m really, really grateful for that…
I played that little game and I went there, I did the speech because in 20 minutes, I got 34 hot leads and from that, I started some new business relationships…
I got quite a few really good marketing materials and I’m still using it until this day. And, overall it was an incredible result, don’t you think?
And then, another time this weird little game helped me get more leads is actually helping me every single day to get more leads…
My business mentors, my mentors always tell me to create content, publish content consistently…
At first, I was like, “I want to get quicker results, I want to get leads quicker than that” and I felt uncomfortable about it to actually do videos or write anything…
But that little voice, that little game popped into my head. “If you don’t feel like doing something, you must do it.” And, luckily, I took upon that game again and I started doing it…
I started this show and I’m doing it consistently and it’s incredible…
…because based on the show and posting other content as well and the results are incredible because every single day, I’m getting new leads out of it and it’s incredible…
Even when I’m sleeping, I’m getting new leads out of this which is exciting, isn’t it?
Okay, let me tell you one more story about how this weird game helped. Probably, this is one of my craziest results, lead generation results I got out of this…
A couple of years ago in Miami, I was on a business event and Russell Brunson was talking on the stage, he was talking about automated lead generation. I really loved it. I really wanted it…
But, when he told us how we can get started with it, I hesitated. I felt —I was like— I felt uncomfortable. I felt afraid…
I was afraid of starting something new and most of all, actually, the potential to failing with something new…
And a little voice in my head started talking, “If you don’t feel like doing something, you must do it.” And luckily, I listened to that voice…
