“Welcome, Freedom Hero!

One of the biggest business mistakes that a lot of entrepreneurs make is believing that “outsourcing is HARD, finding great people is HARD” and because of that, they struggle growing their business…

And that’s why today, we are starting a series on how to build and manage your own pro team to save time and money on your lead generation…

My name is Istvan Bujdoso and this is The 47 marketing Show…

Let’s get started with part 1 of the series. In this part, we’ll focus on building your team…

The main purpose of delegating is to save yourself time and money by leveraging other people’s time and skills while you are using your own time in a more profitable way…

But if you’ve never hired or managed anybody or you had a bad outsourcing experience before then delegating can be a scary activity. But the TRUTH is that it’s a lot easier and safer than it seems…

For the past seven years, I’ve been outsourcing quite a few things, including some activities related to lead generation. And in that time, I had my fair share of bad and good experiences…

And along the way, I worked out a proven method…

Let me share with you seven tips now so you can successfully build and manage your own pro team who will save you time and money on your lead generation…

Tip #1: Be really clear about your expectations. What results you expect from them, how and when. What you expect them to do, how, and when. Why you want to hire them and so on…

If you are NOT clear about your expectations, the bigger the chance that you’ll face unexpected situations and will be disappointed. So, be really clear about your expectations…

Tip #2: Communicate clearly your expectations to them. Knowing your expectation is one thing, communicating that to them clearly is another. Explain things as simple as possible…

It helps to avoid misunderstandings…

Share visual things with them via short and simple videos or screenshots because describing visual things in words is a lot more complex and difficult than showing them and can lead to misunderstandings…

Have every important thing in written format or in videos. We are all human, can forget things, this just helps to make sure nothing will be forgotten. Always communicate clearly your expectations to them…

Tip #3: Only hire through reliable source. For example, on Upwork, that’s a well-known, reliable freelancer portal…

It’s kind of like a middle man, providing you safety, information and help you to be able to work with great freelancers…

Tip #4: Pre-qualify freelancers before you even talk to them. Another benefit of Upwork that they provide all the useful information for you to pre-qualify people…

Check things out like, how many hours did they work through that portal? If they’ve already worked a lot of hours that shows they are more serious about freelancing. What kind of reviews they have?

If their previous clients were happy, the more likely they will do a good job for you too. Have they done similar work previously to the one you have in mind?

If they have done similar things, they more likely to work faster and better. What’s the quality of their profile overall?

An organised and well-written profile increases the chance they will provide quality work for you. What’s the quality of their portfolio?

A high-quality portfolio means they will probably give you high-quality work as well. How much do they charge? Is that matching your expectation? Is that below the average fee of other similar freelancers?

I do NOT recommend you to pick somebody BELOW the average pricing because usually it means they will provide you BELOW average quality work as well…

Tip #5: Talk to the best candidates. This is NOT about finding out how good they will work! It’s more about how they communicate, how the two of you are resonating in general…

Ask them to tell you about the project in their own words so you can see how well they understand your expectations. Look out if they are asking questions at all and GOOD questions…

If they don’t ask any questions, it means they most likely will assume things instead of understanding your expectations and probably, you won’t always get what you want…

Tip #6: Hire your choice of freelancer for a SMALL job FIRST. Even if you do everything, we talked about in this episode, there’s still a little chance they won’t be the right ones…

The best way to test the freelancer is to test them in a SMALL, real, relevant job and see how they actually work…

Tip #7: Start small and build up things. The benefit of working with freelancers that you don’t have to hire them full time if you only need one hour help a week, then hire them for only that…

Start small and build up the amount of tasks you give them. It helps you to start sooner, it won’t overwhelm neither you nor them…

…and increases the chance that the whole work will go smoother…

Okay, this was part 1 of the series on how to build and manage your own pro team to save time and money on your lead generation…

In the next episode, we’ll continue the series so look out for the new episodes of The 47 Marketing Show…

There’s one more important thing I want to share with you right now…

Besides having your own pro team, automated lead generation is an additional, complementing way that will help you to save time and money…

And that’s just the tip of the iceberg of the benefits you will get from it…
