…better performance measuring, aligned marketing and sales, and some other benefits as well.
Okay, let me share with you now 6 marketing activities you can automate and enjoy some of the benefits I talked about earlier.
The first marketing activity is Email Marketing which is the most important marketing activity to automate as it can help you with your lead warm up, lead qualification, and follow up processes.
And it can also be a source of warm and hot traffic to your offers. Just to give you a few examples how you can use automated email marketing.
For example, you can automatically welcome every new lead who joins your list with a series of welcome emails. Another example is evergreen email campaigns.
You or your team can create a series of emails ONCE with the purpose of automatically keep warming up your leads after the welcome sequence.
Okay, the next one is Follow up emails. For example, after your leads fill in an application form or you have a phone call with them, you can trigger an automated email series to follow up with them…
…and to prepare them for the next steps. And the last example is scheduled email automations for specific events on specific dates.
Like when a conference is coming up, or you’re launching a new product or service, or for Christmas, or some other specific event is happening in the future.
You can set up a series of emails to get people from your list to buy tickets to the conference, or get an early bird deal of your new product or service, or with some other purpose.
The key point is that you set up these scheduled email automations upfront and then you can forget them and they will do the job for you. Okay, let’s move onto the next marketing activity.
Are you ready for it? Number 2 on our list, Checking Important Emails. Probably the most distracting and unproductive activity is constantly checking emails.
I used to have my email software open all the time and let it show notifications as soon as I got an email. Because I get between 100-200 emails every day, a new notification popped up every few minutes.
Two things happened, either I dropped what I was doing and I check the new email right away or I kept doing what I was doing, but it was in the back of my mind that I need to check the new email.
Either way, it was a distraction away from more important activities. Even if you get a lot of emails a day, like me, most likely only a few of those emails are actually really important to reply to quickly.
Here’s what you can do to get your productivity back. Turn off your email notifications. I’ll tell you in a minute how you can still notice the important emails.
The next step is a great email software lets you automatically tag emails based on your rules. For example, when you get emails from your clients…
…those emails can be tagged as important ones automatically, and maybe show up with red colour in your inbox. And that way, you can spot those emails in seconds among hundreds of other emails.
The next step is to only check your emails once every few hours. This way you can get back your productivity and still be able to reply to important emails within a good time.
If it’s absolutely necessary that you reply to client emails really quickly, then set up Zapier to send you a Slack message when you get an important email.
That way you can avoid checking your inbox all the time and can focus on important things.
Okay, the next marketing activity is #3, Content Publishing And Promotion. Content publishing is a key ongoing marketing activity that can eat up a lot of your time.
Depending on where you’re publishing your contents, usually either the platform itself or a third party software can help you to schedule and automate publishing which can save you a lot of time.
Besides that, marketing automation can also do a part of your promotion instead of you or for you.
For example, when you publish a new blog post, or a new video, that can trigger Zapier to share that content automatically to Twitter, Facebook, and to other social media platforms.

Okay, the next marketing activity is Capturing Leads. which is one of the most important marketing activities to automate for productivity…
…and to grow your email list on autopilot, and consistently grow your business. There are various different strategies to get leads that way.
For example, giving away something for free: an eBook, a video, a software, a pass to a webinar, or something else that your leads get so excited about that they give you their email address.
And some strategies involve selling products on an entry level price, and that way getting leads for higher end services and products.
In all of those strategies, the core automation method is online FUNNELS that turn visitors into leads…
…and direct them through a set of steps to warm them up, qualify them, or even sell them directly on autopilot.
Okay, the next marketing activity is #5, Qualifying Leads. Qualifying leads one by one on the phone can be a really time-consuming and stressful activity.
The good news is that with automations, you and your team can be more productive in this area as well. For example, instead of booking direct calls with cold leads, your automated funnels…
…and email sequences can direct warm leads to fill in an application form with qualifying questions. And based on that, it is a lot more efficient to filter out the good leads from the crowd…
…and only get onto a call with them. And the bonus of it is that you have more information about your leads before the call and can be more prepared for them.
Okay, the next marketing activity is #6, Automate Marketing Activities You Can’t Automate. Okay, let me explain this. So, some activities can’t be automated, they require some manual work and delegation.
For example, there are social platforms that don’t always let you schedule posts, or some ongoing activities that need daily/weekly preparation, and so on.
Even though those marketing activities are manual activities, a part of them can be automated to make your overall marketing more productive.
And that part is the automated management of those tasks and your team. Even with a small team, the number of recurring, manual marketing activities can build up really quickly.
And manually managing 20, 50, 100, or even more activities every week is a nightmare. Trello or another similar software with automation capabilities can take that weight off your shoulders…
…so you and your team can be more productive. Those softwares can create reminders on autopilot for the relevant team member…
…send automated notifications when things are due, notify other team members when activities are done and so on. Are you getting this?
