STOP Doing This In Your Marketing & Lead Generation Now!

Mindset is an important factor when it comes to lead generation marketing and closing deals. Unfortunately, many entrepreneurs set themselves up to failure by having a limiting mentality. 

When it comes to lead generation, the first thing you have to learn is how to get leads. BUT not just any kind of leads. You must know how to generate the right kind of leads for your business. And this is often where the problem starts. 

Some entrepreneurs set a goal that is too low when it comes to lead generation. I’ve met those who aim for just 10 to 15 leads a month. When you do this, you are missing opportunities. You’ll get mostly cold leads who are not yet ready to buy.  So, what happens if you aim for just 10 to 15 leads per month? You would be struggling — and may even feel disheartened or frustrated — because you can’t convert these leads.

“Welcome, Freedom Hero! 

This episode is going to be a bit of a rant because recently, I keep reading similar comments from entrepreneurs which is probably the number one killer of success… 

and it really bugs me, that they don’t even know that they are killing their own lead generation and business with it… 

My name is Istvan Bujdoso and this is The 47 Marketing Show… 

So, here’s what I recently keep bumping into that some business owners say a similar thing to this. “I don’t need hundreds of leads. I only need 10, 15 good ones a month.” 

Let me explain why this mindset leads to failures and struggles… 

First of all, NOT all leads are equal. The temperature of them is different. For the sake of simplicity, let’s say there are 3 temperatures: cold, warm, and hot leads… 

Cold leads: these are leads who do not know you and your business yet, obviously, their trust level is still low, most likely, they are not ready to buy from you yet… 

Warm leads: leads who know something about you and your business. They like you, somewhat, they have some trust in you, may be ready to buy… 

Hot leads: leads who know you, like you and trust you, almost ready to buy just need some confirmation before buying… 

Obviously, we all would love to get hot leads straight away. Unfortunately, there’s NO such a magic button like that… 

The TRUTH is that, from the 3 temperatures, you’ll get the least amount from hot leads straight away. You’ll get somewhat more warm leads, if you get leads via referrals or published content… 

But most of the leads you’ll get are cold leads, people who do not know you and your business yet, their trust level is still low and most likely, they are not ready to buy from you yet… 

And that’s why if you focus on getting only 10, 15 leads a month, there’s a VERY LITTLE chance you will find any leads who are ready to buy from you… 

What do you think will happen then? Struggles and failures! 

So STOP aiming low with your marketing & lead generation. Switch your mindset to a higher level… 

If your goal is to get 10, 15 WARM/HOT leads a month, who are more likely ready to buy from you, then you have to aim for getting hundreds or even more leads onto your email list a month… 

Remember, most of them will be COLD leads, people who do not know you and your business yet, their trust level is still low and most likely, they are not ready to buy from you yet… 

And when they are on your email list, you have UNLIMITED opportunities to reach out to them and warm them up so some of them get to know you, like you, and trust you over time… 

…and will turn into your hot leads and clients… 

On the other hand, some people on your email list will never buy anything from you and that’s okay and normal. Other people will take a month, 6 months, a year or more to be ready to buy from you… 

That’s why consistency is a KEY in your lead generation and marketing to keep consistently adding new and new people onto your email list and consistently following up with them… 

The longer and better you do this marketing process, the more likely you’ll have the amount of WARM/HOT leads you want each month. Are you following this so far? 

I can imagine what you’re thinking right now. Getting hundreds or more leads onto your email list each month, and following up with them consistently sounds like loads of work… 

Honestly, it is! As I mentioned earlier, unfortunately, there is NO lead generation magic button. BUT the good news is that you do not have to do that marketing process manually… 

This is where marketing automation comes into the picture that can help you to get hundreds or more leads onto your email list each month, keep following up with them… 

…and stay consistent with your marketing processes. Do that all without your lead generation eating up your entire life. Does it make sense? 

If you’re thinking now, “This doesn’t sound like I will get leads from it today,” then, yes, you’re right, most likely you won’t. The FACT is that, every REAL marketing strategy requires time and work to set it up… 

Although it takes time and work upfront to set up marketing automations, the GREAT thing about them, overall, they can give you more results, more consistently, with less work and less money…
